today's rehearsals were terrible. i can't do chinese dance for nuts! before the performance i clean forgot the steps. had a complete mental block. usually that never happens because with other dances, the steps will be imprinted in my head. and when the music starts it's all natural movement, i don't have to think because it has become a routine. but somehow chinese dance and me doesn't connect! :(

i wasn't the only one who forgot the steps though. somehow everything screwed up today. probably because we were all rushing to finish the cny decorations desperately in between all the warm-ups and last minute practices before all the rehearsals. as usual, we were unused to the stage dimensions and it didn't help that so many of the dancers were tired and sick. wenting gave us a scare after the curtains closed, i thought she had a nosebleed or fainted or something. then of course, we got nagged at by our teacher-in-charge because apparently our performance was "atrocious" and "unfit for public view". sigh.

on a lighter note, yizhen and i had loads of fun putting up the red banner today. we literally rolled on the floor laughing because we were so tickled by our own stupidity, like cutting the cloth crookedly and using scotch-tape to fix the problem. haha. neither of us knew how to tie the banner to the railings properly too, we just tied lots of knots. hope it doesn't fall off.

then was supposed to meet my og at kfc after that, but when everything finally ended, i called yingtong and found out they were leaving already! so sad. yepps. but at least some of them were nice enough to message me that they missed me! how sweet of them. haha.
