half-hearted wishes.lantern festival was fun. well, not the cip part, but rather the playing with sarah's nephew part. samuel's so adorable! like a little koala.
ushering the kids at rosyth primary was pretty okay, but the hard part was sitting down, doing nothing but watch the performancs. firstly it was painfully nostalgic, reminded me of the time in st. marg's, they organised a lantern festival celebration like this too, exclusively for the residents living in the estate. heon and i were in the entreprenuership club, helping out at a stall selling sweets and ice-cream there. secondly, i was bored to death, and stifled by the crowd and the noise.
after everything ended, we went to a nearby playground to play with lanterns and sparklers and look at the moon. everyone was kinda crazy, we started singing songs and taking photos. haha. then we all started telling ghost stories and the guys had to tell us they saw a large doll with long black hair sitting under a tree we walked past. needless to say, we got freaked out and all of us cabbed home. haha.
made a dozen wishes tonight. half-hearted ones. it doesn't really matter because they never come true, do they? whether you're wishing fervently or half-heartedly.
